Illumination Entertainment has entered into a pact with Nintendo to make this movie which will be quite a challenge. The movie bombed in the box office, losing nearly $27 million and being critically panned.

The new Mario movie is to be animated (yay!), and will be "based on the immersive world of Super Mario Bros".

As much as Miyamoto's involvement is likely intended to keep the movie from taking liberties that go too far, he's no stranger to taking things in unexpected directions himself, so it should be interesting to see how this goes.

This announcement isn't a complete surprise following reports late last year that Nintendo and Illumination were in talks on such a project.

Nintendo brought the world the FamiCom game machine in the 1980s and has had its up and downs as people's entertainment tastes changed. That would definitely be a lot of fun and something worth checking out. And when on Sunday does he think it could be shown? It has been so loved by the younger generation that they have introduced toys and other characters related products to the markets worldwide.

Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the project as it develops! Of course, the movie's history has mystique of its own, noted as a "harrowing" experience by co-director Rokcy Morton in 2016 with a script changed mid-shoot.

What might a new Super Mario movie look like? The company has revealed that it will be making a Mario movie too. However, the makers are yet to decide the launch date of the flick. Illumination was founded by Academy Award nominee Chris Meledandri in 2007, and the company's franchises include two of the top-four animated films of all time. For now, Nintendo has simply said that "The paid subscription service that expands the online functionality of the Nintendo Switch".
