Chrome will start blocking 'intrusive' ads starting February 15

Google throws a bone at the Microsoft Store, offers download of Chrome installer

There are a few technical limitations as well that could further dissuade Google from launching a Chrome browser app for Windows 10. Beginning in January, the group will certify publishers and supply-side networks that agree to abide by the standards and block ads to those that don't.

The Google Chrome browser finally came to the Windows Store.

Google's hope is that Chrome's built-in ad blocker - which it sees as a "natural evolution of pop-up blockers" - will reduce the use of the third-party blockers that hide all ads. If a website doesn't abide by those rules, Chrome will block ads on the site. The scheme started out innocently enough, with the former publishing a Chrome application for the platform.

Chrome app for Microsoft Store is the app that never was in that it was just the installer that guided users to download the app from Google. Now when know when Google plans to send this ad blocker live, and it turns out that launch is right around the corner. The Verge notes that there have been previous tech tussles between Microsoft and Google; involving the Windows Phone YouTube app, the (in) famous Scroogled ads, and Microsoft's criticism of Chrome battery usage. The failure to meet these regulations will lead to blocking of ads by Google.

If a website or a webpage contains multiple low-quality ads, a single ad will send a violation notification.

Google did not say what Chrome version the new ad-blocking component will ship with.

Microsoft has bounced a Google Chrome Installer out of its Windows Store, just hours after making it available for download. Firstly, it only applies to videos that have sound.

The whole idea of ad blocking caught fire AdBlocker first came up with add-on to enable online users to block ads they consider intrusive. Microsoft lifting the restrictions on browsers in their store. This Program provides guidelines for companies like Google on how they can use the Better Ads Standards to help improve users' experience with ads on the web. With a more stringent approach to advertisements, the company may make web browsing less annoying and safer too.
